The Festa de la Mar is a traveling festival that takes place every two years in Catalonia. It is promoted by the Catalan Federation for Maritime and River Culture and Heritage and is dedicated to promoting and disseminating the maritime traditions of Catalonia and the Mediterranean as a whole.
The event also served to initiate the establishment of the Festival's Working Table, where all the entities and companies of the Calafell sea will be represented, with the aim of involving the maximum possible number of assets and coordinating the set of activities of the event.
On the other hand, the event was used to present to the attendees the Urban Community of Calafell, a project financed by the Department of Business and Work of the Generalitat of Catalonia, which was born with the aim of boosting economic, social activity and cultural of the municipality through the collaboration between the public administration, the local economic fabric and the entities and associations of the municipality.
